The Langham Hotel has a rich history, being the first luxury hotel chain in Europe. Over it's 150 years of operation, it has developed a reputation of elegance through simplicity. Our lighting design sought to follow this reputation, using light as a medium to accent and outline the magnificent structure, and intricate details of the hotel.
An Elegant Entrance.
As you walk into the hotel, you are greeted with a beautiful, but very simply crystal chandelier. It provides a soft and welcoming glow, creating a very welcoming atmosphere for guests walking in. It is made of crystal plum blossom tubes, creating a symmetry and roundness that is drawn from popular Chinese design principles.
Banquet Brilliance.
The design inspiration for the chandeliers in the banquet room were roses. These chandeliers are made up of pineapple crystals, woven into then and elegant petals embodying a rose. The chandelier was made to have an amber glow, with lights that accentuate the "petals" of the light, bringing the rose to light.
