The InterContinental in Shanghai adopted this very way of thinking when designing its hotel. In our lighting design, we used functional lighting to highlight some of these features, and used more hidden lights to achieve subtle ambiance. We finished the design of the hotel in 2016 and designed lighting for the public leisure areas, guest rooms, banquet halls, all-day dining restaurants and other areas within the InterContinental Hotel.
Banquet Brilliance.
The pillar-less banquet hall, so
beautifully designed features 2 custom chandeliers. These crystal chandeliers, shaped to look like four leaf clovers, represent luck and also introduce characteristics of the ancient canal running through the city.
Customized Luxury.
We tried to bring the luxury of the city into the comfort of the hotel. The all-day Lushan restaurant features and intertwined chandelier, mimicking the shape of water. This matches the other floor and wall lights adorning the restaurant
